Place holder.  Sold out shoot, but still kinda smallish.  Only room for 15 on the line. A shoot bosses dream, though,  the local instructor has the line set up and we are ready to go.

Excellent shoot! The weather was a bit chilly on Saturday, but everyone persevered and showed great improvement in their shooting. Sunday was beautiful and everyone showed even more improvement. While the participants were all shooting with their rifles I got my Canon out. Hopefully you will enjoy the pictures. I don't think I can upload them all at once so they will be in small groups.

It was another great Appleseed weekend around the country and also in Iowa.  Hard to believe for me, that this was my first AS in IA ever.  It did not disappoint.  The instructor crew were joined by 14 Americans eager and ready to be immersed in the great tradition of rifle marksmanship.  More like a dunking on Saturday, but all hung in there and gave it their full attention.  One of the safest shoots I have ever had the pleasure of helping out at, as everyone remembered the 4 safety rules all day.  Did anyone mention it waaas coooold and cloudy?

Day two saw all happy shooters return and ready for much more.  The weather improved quickly, as did the shooting.  A good time was had by all with the grandest of pastimes,  Shooting.

I stole these from the previous post for the people like me, who are too lazy to open them up.  Thanks Rex (IXOYE)for taking them O0

Sunday, I asked Judy about her pretty Ruger.  Its the one with the full length stock that goes all the way to the muzzle.

She told me the story of why she wanted to buy a rifle.  It was for Appleseed. And this was the one they had in stock.  Now, most of you know that This is a expensive model, compared to the "ell cheapo".(like I have)

Why Appleseed?  "Because I took a CCW course and did not feel comfortable with the function and use of a gun.  And this seemed like a good program"

WOW,  Appleseed is a way to get a CCW and its also a Way to learn to be comfortable with guns.
