Mifflin County Sportsmen's Association, Inc    Lewistown, PA

   To be able to Shoot Boss the last event of this year at this range was a privilege,,,
The students were very attentive and enthusiastic to say the least,,,
   The weather man called for rain on Saturday which never came, but we had to contend with wind gust upwards of 20+ mph and then some,,, it actually blew over our weighted down target line, but with the folks we had here it was back up and running in a matter of a few minutes.

Saturday the fundamentals were given, received and applied, and it showed, everyone improved very well,,,

   Kristi who on Saturday did not hit the redcoat very well in the A.M. said that she was going to clean that thing this weekend and she did on Sunday PM,,, She set a goal and accomplished it,, that is how we save this country folks,, follow thru with the plans you set,,, With a positive attitude such as hers, this ship will not sink, She was awarded the The First Pennsylvania Riflemen Company Patch for her achievment Thank you for a most pleasent time...

   And Kristi's husband Craig worked and applied all the teachings to nail down a firm score of 220 in the afternoon on Sunday to become a freshly minted Rifleman,, great job Craig,,, that morning he had a beefer freshen, and so it goes that good things happen in 3's,,, Thank you for dedication,,,

And then we have our posterity folks this young man goes by the name of Patrick,,, A very determined individual, he shot an AR15 all weekend long, and at the age of 15yrs he did very well at commanding that rifle and directing its fire to prove that what is taught on the 25m line will in fact transfer to distance, for he not only did well on the zeroing line, but he took that rifle to the KD range and placed his first shot down range on steel at 300yds, and he kept up that pace like a pro,,, he engaged the 200yd and 100yd steel as well, mutiple times and with a cadence that is to be proud of,,, He is a very well mannered young man who has a great future ahead of him.  It was a pleasure to have met you Patrick, hope to see again,,,

and here one is of him on the KD range,,

I better post this part incase this computer crashes, that is the type of luck I have with these things,,,

Now to continue with this great event at Lewistown, PA

Folks we had a Repeat Rifleman, His name is Chad, He did another fine job having shot at Manheim last year, he came back and nailed it again, Great Job Chad, Hope to see you again,,,

Next up we have Gary (sorry no individual picture),, A very humble man that is going to be seen at another shoot I am sure, shooting an AR this weekend as well, he did well at 25m line and at the KD range,,, engaging steel targets from 100 to 300yds with iron sights and once that was achieved, he took off his irons and placed a M223 Nikon scope on the rail, and went to town on the targets out 300 with ease,,, with a QD base for the scope, it's a breeze to swap out sights for different types of work and it was zero'ed when he brought it, he came prepared, homework pays off, this man is proof of that, a very humble individual,,, Most all my pictures of the KD range disappeared within the electronics of this camera, I think I'll go back a Polaroid,,,,, I do hope to see you again,,, I would like to Thank you very much for sticking around and bringing the steel off the mountain for us, that saved us a great deal of time,,,,

Next we have Christopher and Lisa, both brought AR's, it's great to see centerfires on the line,,, I hope to see them back at another shoot soon,, Keep an eye on the schedule for up coming events,,, You folks did very well, If you are ever around this neck of the woods in NY, give me a call and we will do a range day or two or three,,,

All the way from Virginia we had Elizabeth, she shot very well and improved a great deal, she brought with her, her husband who is an Orange hat, Zack, who helped out on the line, He goes by the screen name of Huzzack, Thanks for lending a hand,,,

Here are some pictures of  our American Patriots working on making this a better country;

And a little ball and dummy action;

And the first strike as told by Chainsaw, PA's State Coordinator

With the weather man being wrong on Saturday, and Sunday during the shoot, as soon as we ended the event, the heavens opened up, Quite fitting I'd say, just like at 1900hrs/7pm on 19 April 1775, after that long day it started to rain, as if the heavens were weeping, but for us at this shoot, I'd like to believe that they were tears of joy, for us doing what we can to save this country! It is a most positive direction of travel that we can do,,,

I would like to Thank Chainsaw, for allowing me to come to this beautiful state and help out,,,

Till the next time,,,

Thanks Top, Nick

Taking pictures is never a priority with me, theres some that did not come out from the camera,,, but this is a picture from another shoot at this range,,, It is a very nice range to be at, it is worth the drive to come here, This is the 500yd side of the range,

This again, is from another time at this range,
1000yards of pure shooting fun,,,

We have to share the range with "civilians" so getting the full use of the range is not possible, this trip "event" was hecktic when I brought the students to shoot on the KD range, there were kids running around and personel downrange that we had to wait on to get back up range, I anticipated this so I just put steel up on the mountain,,, I knew we would not be able to go down range and look at paper targets, plus they would have been all shot up because we set the KD range up the day before and civilians were shooting the steel I put there which is no problem,,, our students were taught well,,,, They were able to put rounds on targets and do IMC thru a spotting scope, My steel was freshly painted so you could see rounds hitting very well,, very simple,,,,

Craig brought his .22LR 10/22 to the KD and put rounds on targets out to 200yds with a little IMC action,,,, very nice job he did, and doing a very respectable 4-5 moa as well,,,

Liberty Beef

Sgt Rock, Thank you for the pointers that both you and chainsaw helped me with throughout the weekend! The little things made all the difference in helping me to execute the shot. I will carry this knowledge forward and continue to work hard on improving. I am now going to move to the AR platform with what i've been taught and get to know that weapon intimately.

Kristi, was jazzed with cleaning the redcoat and want's to attend Manheim later in the month. You guys have helped her as well with the confidence and lit the fuse of excitement. I look forward to our path crossing again in the future .

Respectfully,
Craig

Craig/Liberty Beef

I like your screen name, very fitting, Now if anyone ask you what your beef is, you can tell them,,, Liberty!!! Whats yours? That will throw a lot of people into a thinking apoplectic rage,,,

I am glad you were able to come to this event, I enjoyed your company, our paths can cross again, let me know if you want a range day at Lewistown or a range by you and I will clear up some time for that, I do stuff on off weekends as well,, teaching the word of rifle marksmanship and Liberty as well,,,,

The AR platform is an easy one to command, not much recoil, just keep the tactic cool stuff off it till you master the rifle, then put on things that will work for the job at hand, for target shooting, nothing but a sling is on my rifle,,, just a few more user friendly tips I do,,,

How is that little beefer doin?

Take care
