Thank you everyone who attended, it was great to see some faces I had not been able to work with in a while, and just as great to see some new faces, new hats, new folks with that look of "give me a bucket".

For those who could not attend, I am attaching the 2011 State Report and the 2012 Plan. Please read them, if you were there, please read the paper copies you were given. There is more info in there than I read out loud.

Thanks to everyone who brought food, we had an abundance and it was all good. Smiling faces, great eats, a bright outlook, it couldn't have been better except to have had a shortage of chairs.

Thanks,

Yellowhousejake

[Point of clarification]
I was asked more than a few times about the new rules on re qualification. Here it is in a nutshell. When I say someone else's rifle, I mean a rifle you do not own, do not normally shoot AQTs with.

If you re-qualify in February with a 250 using your backup rifle on your second AQT, and call it done for the year, I am not impressed.

If you tell me at the last event of the year that you shot 26 AQTs during 2012, your lowest score was a 175, your highest score was a 209, and you never used the same rifle twice, then, I am impressed.

We are all Rifleman. I expect you to be able to shoot a Rifleman score. The idea here is for all instructors to gain familiarity with a wide range of rifles that might show up on the line. Not just how to clear them, but how to shoot them, and shoot them well. It will make us all grow as instructors and our abilities as teachers can only improve for the effort.

Should be fun, will certainly be educational.

Just a quick note to say it was nice to meet everyone at the meeting yesterday, especially those from from the southern part of the state who I probably won't see on the trail often. I'm looking forward to really getting my feet wet in 2012.

I am working on the videos from this weekend and will do my best to post up the talks given, the introductions made and the fun had.

I have 4 hours of video to sift through.

I will post this much up though as a taste.  It is IIT Kate, our 14 year old plate killer taking out steel and putting it to the ground in two shots from her beautiful Garand:

Appleseed Youth: Skill, Smiles, Fun!

The cameras survived the mad minute test of the plates and if anyone has an objection about their image being included on the forum - better tell me know.

It was great to meet you all.  2012 is gonna rock!

Sorry I missed this meeting.

Things still not "back to normal" here at home, but we're getting there.
We'll be ready by spring to host our share of shoots.
To all Riflemen on the planet; we are here; we are waiting.

SPQR

Great video!  Good shootin!  Good time had by all

POC we're thinking about you buddy and we are going to have good shoots at your place.

That Smile on Kate's face is PRICELESS!!
I have noticed you get things done and I respect that-SPQR

ATM

It was great to see everyone that could make it and we missed those who couldn't.

2012 is going to be a great year. We have a solid plan and lots of excitement to get us there together.

There's a story that every American needs to hear, a character and skill set that every American should possess... and there's great fun to be had in the process.  ;)

See you in the libraries and on the trail!  O0
