Wow, what an awesome day! 6 Instructor's getting together  at 9 am in 12 degree weather...what could be better?

After setting up the targets at 100, 200, 300, and 400 (there's steel at 2, 3, 4 and 500 yards too), we spent the entire day having a ton of fun and learning more about our rifles.  Making hits on steel at 500 yards is incredibly addicting. It is a ton of fun hearing the impact over and over again.

Matt (lupis42) and I shot a couple KDAQT's using the same rifle (my AR15) and we had a Garand, M1A, AR10 and an SKS on the line as well.

I can't recommend this enough.  Do you have access anything at 100 yards or longer?  Go use it! You learned everything you need at an Appleseed to get the ball rolling at these longer distances.  Get out there and send some lead down range!!

I understand the what and the when, but how did I miss the where? Are such things announced, and if yes, how?

PM me for details.  Everybody's invited.  We just have to coordinate so 25 people don't all show up at once.

Yep...

We get to go KD at Piru for the RBC's, most often a few Instructors "just happen to be in the neighborhood!"

Nothing like a KD AQT to expose your flaws! Last Oct, I was smoking the stage 1 and 2, but the wheels kept falling off for the prone stages. Topped out around 180. Oh well, guess I'm gonna have to keep doin' it 'till I get it right ::)!

I do regard with horror a state of affairs which would make our country both unready and unwilling to defend its honor.
