All,

Please join me in thanking Crak for his long service to Project Appleseed.  Most of you have seen his PM last week that he is taking a leave of absence from the program.  This leaves a large pair of shoes to fill.

VietVet who is well known to many of you has offered to step up and take the RC role.  Please join me in welcoming him to his new tasks and I understand you will be seeing even more of him around the Region.

Thanks to everyone who shoulders the load in Project appleseed,
Hawkhavn

What a nation has done, a nation can aspire to.
Dr. Jerry Pournelle

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as "bad luck."

..Crak is a good man and will be missed.  Crak has been around since the beginning and has helped Project Appleseed  grow in many ways.  I have had the privilege of learning from Crak, he is a true powerhouse Instructor.  Glad to have worked with him.  Stay in touch Chris, we have a lot in common.  ........................Josey Wales........................

..Now on to current Appleseed business.  Vietvet (Rich), Congratulations! O0  You are the right man for this job and you have earned it in more ways than one.  This choice is a step in the right direction for all of us.  Team Northeast continues to grow both in Strength and in Honor.  There is a lot of work waiting for us, Rich and the entire Northeast Region.  Now will be the time to combine all our concerted efforts in making our region run like a well oiled machine.  Now will be the time to trust in each other like never before.  Now will be the time to reaffirm our Rifleman oaths.  Our job as Project Appleseed Instructors is a very serious one, I never forget why I became an Instructor..  As One.........

Chris, you a good man - your leave of absence does not mean we won't have sightings. You brought a lot to the table in all areas, and shared all. I wish you wellness with your family, and know you can bring a smile on an appearance on any line and whispers of "do you know who that is". Crak, your over sight will be missed.

If a second is in order for VietVet, I so motion. Rich is a respected knowledgeable man, who wants nothing better then to see AS grow. Manhattan and the Island will have less sightings, but Rich has help develope a good team in this region. Rich, does your wife know the amount of work you are getting her into?

Thank you both for all you do.

Crak, thanks for all you've done.

Rich, thanks for all you have done and are about to do.

It was a pleasure and honor to meet you both last year.

Chris has been responsible for the some of the best, if not the best, improvements and additions to the Shoot Boss Toolbox - from his effective trigger finger drill to his process on how to run a POI with little to no downtime to his tips on how to motivate shooters to his skills in diagnosing shooter errors. He has led the way for the most impactful IBCs by hosting them in his "backyard" up and down and along Battle Road, from Lexington to Concord and everywhere in between. He's a tireless student of our American heritage and was never one to pull the punches on feedback and mentoring. He was one of the stalwart out-of-state instructors who helped CT get up and running and without whom our program in the Nutmeg State would not be where it is today.

It is so often that we say, "Thanks for all you do" to one another. To Chris, I'll say, "Thanks for who you are."

And thanks also for the Orange Hat.

Lastly, I cannot think of a better person to pick up the applecart in the Northeast. Thank you immensely, Rich.

p.s. Man, I'm going to miss being able to say, Crak is on Crak Time. He'll be here around noon.  ;D

Chris, don't be a stranger, stop by from time to time.

And, a personal thanks for all you've done. The Northeast wouldn't be where it's at without your work and input.
