It was a very enjoyable shoot in Boulder City, NV this weekend.

We didn't get quite as many shooters as had registered, but since we didn't have enough instructors to try to tackle 2 lines, it worked out. Myself, Trebleshooter & Xeyed were the only instructors scheduled, but RangeRat showed up & helped out quite a bit also. Thanks!

Saturday, we had 14 shooters, and Sunday we had 10.

On Saturday, we welcomed everyone, & after presenting a bit of history & shooting the first Redcoat, we turned on the fire hose, presenting sling use, positions, the 6 steps, NPOA, etc. until lunch. We shared some more history, then introduced the Bloody butchery broadsheet, & got the shooters to the line to fire the Liberty Volley at 1PM pst.

Due to time limitations, after the volley, we still had to cover standing & transitions, so were only able to shoot one QDAQT before the end of day Redcoat target.

The Saturday AQT produced 4 rifleman scores, Zach P (210), Charlie (210), Dave H (216) & Hugh (218).

Everyone received one raffle ticket just for showing up. Throughout Sunday, other tickets were awarded for answering random questions. We raffled off three prizes at the end of the day:

- Dave received a new copy of Paul Revere's Ride.
- Laurence received the Challenge Coin.
- And young Chance won the deck of April 19th cards.

We awarded Youth Achievement patches to three young men who persisted, Chance, Colin & Zach B.

Everyone had great attitudes, & I appreciate the effort everyone showed. By the end of the weekend, everyone's shooting was improved over where it had been on Saturday morning, and several people were coming quite close to 210.

We also had a 3rd time Appleseeder, Brandon, ask to take the Orange Hat, after at least a couple of months of consideration.

The range was great to work with & I appreciate their willingness to regularly host Appleseeds.

Here are a few pics from the weekend...

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what's for lunch.....Liberty is a well armed lamb contesting the vote.
