President 'O's new Attorney General has already said this is one of 'his' major issues.
And this takes literally 2 clicks to complete. Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today.

This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms.

I love how even in a poll, they give the government credit for 'giving' rights.

No, USAToday...GOD gives us the right to own and bear arms...the 2nd amendment merely recognizes, acknowledges and reminds our government of this basic fact.

The worshiping of today's government through blind obedience of it's dictates, statutes, ordinances, and codes represents servile submission to an imaginary authority.
Mankind must learn that this world, this universe, is not governed by the laws and rules that mankind makes up.
It is governed by a power that is in us, BUT NOT OF US . . .

The Declaration of Independence reaffirmed those rights of man as given to them (which includes us) by our Creator.   
The Constitution for the Nation, as well as the Constitutions for the several States, confirm the truths of our liberty and our freedom. 

Such governments as we have now demonstrate that they will stop at nothing.....[ see the latest betrayal of our veterans] to further erode our rights and freedoms giving more reason to be vigilant and to work harder to preserve those rights. Well, the opportunity to "influence" the USA Today poll may be gone, but your idea and possibility to help secure and preserve our Freedoms and Liberties are not!

How many people the you sent (or would have sent) this post to have been to an Appleseed?

The OP of this thread is an IIT.  You know what that makes him?....... A seed planter, a force multiplier.   Ever seen an Appleseed?   How many Apples are there in a seed?   If you say "None", you are right.   Can't eat a seed and get anything meaningful from it.   Heck, even if you had a handful they would directly give you little.

However, ask the question, how many "potential Apples" are there in a seed?   The answer could easily be millions!

Nah, that one seed, planted, nurtured, will not even produce a million apples, maybe just a few thousand.   

However, you pull 10% of the apples it makes each year, plant them, nurture them, you have dozens to hundreds more trees, producing thousands more apples. 

You take 10% of the apple and plant their seeds, from each of those Apples... ::) :o :o ;D  You have yourself a nation which is just chuck full of good Apples.

Then when USA Today (or some other knuckle head) puts out a "poll" like this, they are so inundated by good Apples that they dare not consider doing it again......ever.

So, look at your "Address Book".    Look at all those plots of dirt there waiting for a seed to be planted.   Maybe only one in a hundred will sprout, but that one will produce thousands.

While you are at it, look across the street, look at the cubical next door, look at the next pew over, look everywhere.   

A call to your representative is you handing him an Apple, seedless one at that.   You planting seeds all around you, will get hundreds to thousands of calls to your reps, now we are talking Apple Pie  O0 

The OP said it himself, it only takes a few clicks, just a minute or two (it only takes a short conversation, just a minute or two), and you could easily be setting the course for an orchard of apple trees, producing thousands to millions of seeds.

Remember, Appleseed is not about eating Appleseeds.   It is about producing the millions of Apples it will take to ensure we all get some Apple Pie.

Our potential is much larger, much brighter than most of us can imagine.   The opportunity which the OP has pointed out, while gone, opens the doors to many more....we can let our seeds rot with the core or we can sow them for some Pie. ;D ;)

The dips in your couch will go away if you get up and take the Seventh Step!
