AAR Red Bluff, CA Sept 12-13

4 students on a warm & windy weekend.  3 of them were youths.  It's been so nice to have kids back on our lines again.
Daniel brought 3 of his kids out and we had a wonderful weekend.
Due to a Red Flag warning (dry, windy, warm weather increasing fire potential) we had to work some relays in as the range closes all centerfire shooting down at 10am.  We had 2 AR15 and 2 AR .22's.  AR15 were not allowed after 10, so we relayed with the 2 AR .22's.  It worked just fine.  And before you ask, CA doesn't allow loaner rifles.   We left the .223's on the line for dry practice.
We worked with squares and dry practice, then some live fire.
History at lunch.
Back to the line and more practice.  Everyone was learning and making progress.
Sunday afternoon, we were allowed to have the centerfires live firing again.  But Kaylee and Jonathan continued to share Kaylee's rifle in a relay style.
Everyone did a great job.
Look forward to having them on the line again next year.

UPDATE after the event:  Daniel (who is a coworker) said that the kids were asking their mom if they knew about the Revolution!!

Thanks to Tehama Shooters Association for hosting us on their range.
Thanks to my instructors for making this a great weekend.
