Sacramento, CA - Pistol IBC AAR March 14-15, 2026

What an epic event! The California Pistol IBC was a hit! 11 Patriots joined me at the fabulous Sacramento Valley Shooting Center. Big shout out to this gracious and spacious range. The California team and their RC, Mr6Actual, were a delight to work with. NorCal22Gal worked extra hard ahead of time to ensure every detail was taken care of. When Mr6 and I arrived on Saturday donuts in hand we were greeted with a work crew that was setting up an outdoor classroom with practiced precision that can only come from experience and a team that works well together.


 
One of the first things we did was some well deserved Award Recognition. 303Brit was first up when NorCal22Gal presented him with his 25pin. Sorry I didn't get a picture Gareth. Laurie thought she was done, but we didn't let her sit down though...Instead, Mr6Actual came up along with eaglescouter. NorCal22Gal and eaglescouter are married and have each worked well over 100 events and been powerhouses for Appleseed in the Western States. Mr6 presented them with some special challenge coins from our National Coordinator to thank them for their hard work. 







Mr6 thought he was done, but I asked him to stay. I had the privilege to present him with his 25 pin. AND to thank him for his hard work across the region as the RC. 





Awards out of the way we got down to work. 2 days of long classroom hours going over material and answering questions. And lots of small group break out sessions to hone the material. Everyone really worked hard. The outdoor classroom that was constructed worked perfectly to keep the sun off us. Thank you 3Huzzahs for all your hard work on that and everyone that pitched in.





During one of the breaks, everyone was allowed to get caught up on their Instructor swag. 



Not to be outdone, Smallbore (Timothy_D) brought some gifts of his own. A lego glock that is about the coolest thing ever and some great quality plastic revolvers. And brought enough for everyone!

It was with a bit of sadness that I had to depart from such fierce Patriots that have mastered the art of IAO in their daily operations due to state laws and regulations. However, I know now this state is in good hands. This crew will mint many Pistoleer™s in their future and my hat is off to them. 

Thank you to everyone in the West Coast/ California crew for making this Georgia boy feel at home and for all you do for lady Liberty!
