Well we had another wonderful shoot at the Ares Training Facility in beautiful Leesburg, FL.  We had 16 great Americans that signed up for a weekend of shooting, and were treated to a weekend of History, Heritage and Marksmanship taught by the best instructors in the business.  Taylor, we missed you and we thought of you this weekend, we will see you on the line soon.  Randy had to bow out early on Sunday, but not before he showed us very much what you are all about with a Rifleman score of a 229!  Outstanding sir.  We will see you again soon.  Ahmet, Dave, Jemma, Ethan all requalified with excellent scores, but Jemma got the weekend high of a DISTINGUISHED 241 proving the old saying "shoot like a girl, if you can!"  We were graced to meet some folks brand new to shooting this weekend as well.  Skylar joined her brothers this time and turned in a very respectable 127 at her first event!  Zachary boomed all weekend with the only center fire on the line and scored a weekend high of 125, never shooting a rifle before!  Ilsa and Kaleb were among the youngest on the line never shooting before and still had that NEVER SAY DIE attitude and NEVER quit!  True Americans!  Preston impressed us all by holding the biggest open sight, bull barreled rifle we had on the line!  The rifle was bigger than he was, and he was offered a different rifle, and he didn't want it!  Said it was much more fun to shoot that one!  When he gets a few inches taller, I think we will have a new orange hat.  He helped us score targets and prep mags all afternoon!  HUZZAH!  Jericho, Ryder, Duane and Wes all returned with a fire in their bellies, and precision on their minds, and the scores reflected that!  Even with neighbors helping sometimes. :)  Ryder, that 197 should make you burn to come back and punch that final target and get that patch! I'm going to be looking for you at the next shoot.  Jericho will be at the next shoot, not satisfied with his 186.  Duane and Wes were neck and neck as usual, with consistent 160s-180s.  I hope you all had a wonderful time, and enjoyed yourselves as much as the instructors did.  Kudos to you all!
What doesn't kill you makes cool scars, and scars are tattoos with better stories.

Nice job everyone!!!  Way to go Jemma and congrats to all who scored rifleman and those who showed great progress!
It's not about perfection -- it's about progress!!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again" Ronald Reagan
