A new pistol range is under construction at the home range in Ramseur! Fred has a bulldozer on-site, and the operator is building the new pistol range to the right of the existing 25-yard range. Completion will take several months due to logistical challenges. The new range will also serve as an overflow range for Appleseed events, featuring a 25-yard berm. This is exciting, as it will allow us to host three events simultaneously! While the bulldozer is available, the 500-yard wall will be upgraded into a higher berm for improved safety, and target holders similar to our current ones will be installed. The last picture shows me removing the lane markers at the 500-yard line using the Jeep's high-lift jack—this is the view targets at 500 yards see when you shoot at them.
