This was another great event at Marion Road Gun Club in Macon, GA. We were blessed with beautiful weather and an abundance of Patriots seeking to hear the message of Liberty. We kicked things off with the First Strike of the Match.

After putting things in perspective, we went through our Safety briefing and then retrieved rifles. Our first target of the day was the Redcoat target. It showed we had some work to do. But also, we had a few shooters among us. Mike cleared it! Huzzah! He was awarded something from the prize bag.

We then retreated to the shade for instruction because it was HOT!!!

We stuck to the standard course of fire. Sling Use, Steps 1-3, NPOA, and Prone. Then we got down on the mats and tried it all out. We also spent a while building up stocks to correct sight alignment.

Then it was time for Steps 4-6 and a trigger exercise. After getting on the mat and familiarizing ourselves with our triggers, shooters were rewarded with their first square of the day. Many were surprised by how much their groups had shrunk already. We shot a few more and headed to lunch.

During Lunch, we heard the Second Strike of the Match. Also, Jambo was presented with his 50 pin AND a GA State Patch. Thank you for your dedication, brother!

We got back at it with more squares, Talking targets, another square, IMC, another square, and then a break to hear about Rifleman's Cadence and carding the sights before testing it out.

After that drill, we did magazine changes and then took another much-needed break for the 3rd Strike of the match.

Refreshed, we stayed in the shade to learn transitions before hitting Stage 3 of the AQT. Then we did seated and Stage 2. Then Standing and Stage 1, Then Stage 4. George re-qualified easy. Well done sir!  O0 A final redcoat showed improvement and Mike cleared it once again.  Huzzah!

We closed out the day by hearing the story of Timothy Murphy. We cleaned up and then hit the local Mexican restaurant. We were glad to have some shooters join us too.

Sunday was another beautiful day at MRGC! We began with some history from 1776 and then rolled into a complete review of the day before.

Our morning redcoat showed improvement from the day before, and Mike cleared it for the 3rd time of the weekend!  ^:)^

We shot some squares and learned about Rifleman's Bubble and Rifleman's Dance. We snuck in an early AQT and saw Mike requalify easy! Huzzah!  O0

Ball and Dummy was fruitful, but unfortunately, it was cut a bit short. A giant gust of wind rolled in, and several canopies took flight and flew behind the line. One unfortunately struck the building and broke. We ceased fire and tidied things up. After all that, we decided to take an early lunch.

At lunch, we heard about the Black-Robed Regiment and several other Dangerous Old Men, Brave Women, Gallant Children. After cleaning up, we shot another AQT. We then took another needed break in the shade to hear about Known Distance Shooting. We then shot one last AQT before breaking everything down and driving over to the 100-yard range.

at the 100-yard range, we re-hung our backers. Then we observed our bullet drop, accounted for it, and then had a little fun. After everyone was on target, we had a little contest, and everyone was doing phenomenal. We closed out the weekend hearing about the 7th step.

I hope to see you all on the line again soon!
