20 shooters showed up bright and early Saturday morning to learn about Liberty and rifle marksmanship.

Yrissari_Blacksmith started us off right with the 1st Strike.  After the safety briefing, rifles were on the line and marksmanship instruction began.  Most of the shooters had group sizes suitable for IMC, which was taught at over lunch.  The class moved smoothly through sitting / kneeling, standing and transitions.  We shot our first AQT on Saturday afternoon, which is a testament to the skill of the shooters. The day ended with the 3rd Strike and Benediction.

Sunday started off windier than usual.  We reviewed the marksmanship instruction from yesterday and began with the Hits Count target and a square.  The class took a pause from AQTs to shoot the Parker's Revenge target.  After covering the KD material at lunch.  A highlight of the KD material was the shoot boss calling the wind speed within 1 mph. We shared the Bloody Butchery poster and William Heath history.  We fired the Patriot's Day Memorial Volley on a Hits Count target and ended the day a few hours early.  The wind was relentless and made it unpleasant and unsafe to continue.

Special Notes: Mike D. took an orange hat.  This was Sawman91's first marksmanship clinic as an IIT.  Welcome to both!

So what is Project Appleseed Business?  What would the Ghost of Project Appleseed say to us?

"Business!'" cried the Ghost of Project Appleseed, wringing its hands again.  "Liberty was my business; Heritage, History, Freedom, and Pursuit of Happiness, were, all, my business. The deals of Marksmanship were but a drop of water in the comprehensive ocean of my business!"
-Adapted from Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol.
