Three brave shooters signed up and tolerated the rainy conditions on Saturday for the first pistol event at our Fowler, IN range, Briggs Core Dynamics.  The ground was squishy and the weather was not as warm as forecast.  We are tough!

All three shooters were first-time attendees and came with a fantastic attitude and a willingness to learn.  One shooter even came after trying to slice his finger off with a mandolin the day before which required stitches.  We had some cross-eye dominance challenges also.  On Sunday, one shooter did not return (he thought it was only a one day event and had other obligations).  The remaining shooters elected to focus on skills rather than trying to score on a PQT.  We did shoot 4 total for the week-end and saw improvements after each one.

Another shout out to our host range, Briggs Core Dynamics.  Everything was great!

Our cause is just . . . our country will be grateful - George Rogers Clark

"This country has been made by the Timothy Murphys, the men in the ranks. Conditions here called for qualities of heart and hand that Tim Murphy had in abundance. Our histories should tell us more about the men in the ranks, for it was to them, more than to the generals that we were indebted for our military victories." -  Franklin Delano Roosevelt, as New York Governor, 1929, at the dedication of the memorial to Murphy
