McMinnville TN Mar 15 - 16, 2025 AAR

The day started off rainy and got much worse quickly. Nevertheless, 8 of the 15 shooters joined us at Mountain Top Range in McMinnville TN for a weekend of history and marksmanship. Many thanks to Mountain Top for their continued support to our mission 

We also had some instructors hampered by the severe weather so some IAO was in order and everyone pitched in to fill the gaps.



After the classroom portion was done we moved to the firing line and the weather got nasty! Seriously close lightening chased us back to the classroom. Since we were in limbo, we used the time to go ahead and tell the 2nd Strike while it blew past. The range building lost power, but who needs power to tell history?



After the severe storms passed, we had a bit of rain still and high winds - the highest winds I have ever seen at Mountain Top and that's saying something (if you know, you know)! Even the backers were feeling the effects.



A check of the radar showed a new line of severe T-storms headed our way so we called it we wrapped up Saturday so everyone could safely (and dryly) pack up and get out of there.

Sunday had everyone return ready for more! A review of Saturday instruction went well and we moved to the firing line to get busy and catch up.



We managed to complete all POIs and get in plenty of AQTs. We had Windrunner score 225 and take an Orange Hat. Well worth the trip from Chicago 





On the last AQT, Don scored 212.









Thanks to the cadre for jumping in to fill gaps and make this a successful, safe event!
