2024 Wrap up, and planning for 2025

Howdy Illinois,

2024 was a good year as we keep working on rebuilding and growing. We had 83 shooters across 6 events, increasing the total shooters from 2023. Shout out to TheEditor for our largest shoot with 29 shooters! I want to make sure we also thank the Shoot Boss's, Instructors, and IIT's who traveled from out of State: ITB, Pookie, IXOYE, Geek, Jayshoneybunny, Myrradah, and SteelThunder (plus any I forgot). They have all been a big part of our success in 2024. We welcomed new Volunteers this year: _Howdy_, early, BigMike, pslav, Alex, and Peper5150 and had two Instructors pass their IPC WarriorPoet and ChuckA. What a great year!
The Region is working on Instructor Boot Camp's for this year, Rifle and Pistol. I can tell you, an IBC makes a world of difference, and it's a great chance to meet some great folks. Southern Indiana, Michigan, and Missouri are already on the books, and we are hoping to have more in Northern Illinois or Indiana soon. Plus you can attend any IBC in the country. Looking ahead to 2025, we have 6 (plus one sent to scheduling today) shoot's already scheduled and hopefully more to come. We are in for shoots with the LeRoy Rifle and Pistol Club and World Shooting Complex in Sparta. We haven't had events in southern IL since 2019 and I am excited for what we have in the works. I also hope to see more Libertyseeds. We just had one at the GSL meeting in Decatur, and it produced a lot of positives.
As we grow and move southward, please let me know if you are willing to travel a bit to staff events. I have spoken with Instructors in Indiana and Missouri to help staff southern events as we recruit new instructors, but I look forward to Illinois standing on our own. I also want to know how I can help support you in your Appleseed journey.
