AAR Cordova Trap and Gun Club, Cordova AK,October 12/13

ItsanSKS and I were treated to the usual Cordova hospitality.  Kimbo and Lila picked us up at the airport, took us to their homes and loaned us vehicles. Par for the course in Cordova
 You expect moist weather in Cordova and we weren't disappointed. Lots of rain both days. Two shooters canceled on Friday afternoon due to illness leaving us with only four shooters. One shooter never showed up on Saturday morning and another couldn't get up and down into the prone position so he dropped out but stuck around the whole day and came back on Sunday and shot from a chair.
A low number of shooters, but the ones who remained were enthusiastic and determined. Mark qualified on the first AQT. And the other guys made good progress over the course of the weekend.
Kimbo, our new instructor in training, did a great job before and during the shoot.
These are  Cordova people so there were no complaints about the weather. Everyone just carried on, persevered. Inspite of the low numbers. It was a great shoot. Look forward to next year.
