We had a great weekend at Tusco Rifle Club!

Great shooters, great range, great weather!  What else can you say?

Well, how about 10 shooters, and 6 Rifleman scores?  Congratulations to Josh for his KD re-qual, to new KD Riflemen TJ, Bryan, Todd and Isaiah, and to Cameron for earning his first Rifleman score ever!

An additional Huzzah! to Josh, for making the Morgan Cold Bore Shingle Shot in the standing position first thing on Sunday morning!

Matt, Bob and Alisa - don't be discouraged.  You all made great improvements over the course of the weekend.  A Rifleman persists, and you'll earn your KD patch soon enough!

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves.  We hope to see you again.  Keep an eye on the Ohio schedule - we expect to add two (or more) KD events at Tusco for 2025.

My phone got buried under the gear in the truck on Saturday - so no pics.  Please post up any you might have.

Here are the pics I have...

Safety and efficiency. Those were the themes of the weekend! Bill's coverage on heritage inspired each of us to persevere as the heat climbed and joints got achy. Everyone seemed to have a blast!

And what an awesome group of instructors. Scott and Chris provided invaluable input to get my nephew, Cameron, over the hump and qualify as a riflemen! Bill ran a tight ship while being flexible enough for each shooter to get individual attention to walk away feeling fulfilled in their KD endeavours. What always amazes me is these are VOLUNTEERS. Donating their time and expertise to ensure American values and skills are not lost and forgotten. Your generosity does not go unnoticed, gentlemen!

Finally, Bill wrapped it up with the call to action. Get involved, participate, and influence. It is YOUR country!

Sounds like a great shoot.
Congratulations to the new KD Riflemen!

It was a pleasure to instruct at this event.  The shooters were attentive and put in effort, the Shoot Boss kept things moving and we instructors had time to spend with shooters working on form and explaining some of the details of shooting at distance.

6 of 10 scored Rifleman.  Keep in mind that three of our shooters had never fired a shot past 100 yards before Saturday morning.

One shooter had only attended a single Appleseed event prior to this but was so impressed with the program that he immediately signed up for this KD.  On his way out Sunday he's talking about Rimfire KD.

A husband and wife were struggling to understand Battle Sight Zero (I think maybe too much internet nonsense had been read).  A couple minutes of conversation and scores went up.  They had been trying to shoot all stages with a 100 yard zero using hold-over.

So, yeah, I think it's a fair assessment that our students learned something, had a good time and all of us walked away being glad we were there.
