Muenster, TX July 27-28 2024 AAR

If you had asked me to wager 5 bucks that the July shoot would be cooler than the June shoot in Muenster, you would be 5 dollars wealthier.  In an unexpected turn of events, it was unseasonably cool this past weekend.  That being said it was still 90 on Saturday and a few degrees warmer on Sunday, but not bad weather all in all.

I believe attendance was lower due to everyone's believing that outdoor activities at the end of July would be unpleasant.  With that being said 6 liberty lovers braved the heat to attend the Appleseed event in Muenster.  3 of the attendees were there for the first time, and 3 had come back for more.  The instructor to student ratio was very good, so all of the attendees had the opportunity for plenty of 1 on 1 instruction, and the scores reflected this. 

Of note was a young man of 11 years, who was quite attentive to the points of instruction, and attentive in their application.  Another one of the attendees was very new to rifle shooting, but by the end of the first day, you wouldn't have known it by the groups that she was shooting.  Two of our returning shooters demonstrated great tenacity and continued to hone their skills, and this was reflected on their targets.  Two of our first time attendees unfortunately weren't able to come back on Sunday, hopefully they will be able to comeback for another event.

Many thanks to all of the instructors for braving the heat to help ensure a successful event.  Due to the smaller class size, the opportunity for the Instructors to shoot an AQT was present, and two Instructors requalified.
