Special thanks to the Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club for hosting us again.  They have supported us for years in all aspects of getting ready for the weekend at an Appleseed Rifle Clinic.  And we will be back there again in November for a 200 yard Rimfire KD!

The weather was great on Saturday, not too hot, not too cold and sunny.  We had a touch of drizzle on Sunday, but nothing that would stop our determined shooter.  We couldn't have asked for a better weekend of marksmanship and heritage!  Everyone persevered and greatly improved as the weekend progressed.  We worked through the day proceeding from dry fire practice to live fire confirmation of our marksmanship, combined with history and heritage.  We confirmed the tracking of our scopes with the "box test" and everything looked good.  The "eyes closed" NPOA drill was especially illuminating.  Everyone (including yours truly) learned how much they had actually been using muscle, not bone support!  History and heritage were well received and there were some great discussions.

On Sunday we continued our practice and proceeded at a good pace. The Time Monkey stayed off our backs, and quite a few AQT's were shot, along with extending to the 50 yard range.  The shooters observed that 4 MOA is 4 MOA, no matter the distance, and a little bit of ballistic adjustment brought those shots right in.  We even shot an AQT at 50 yards, and while the scores were nothing to write home about, the process was very beneficial.  After returning to the 25 meter line, those targets looked much bigger than before, and everyone shot their best AQT of the day.

The shooters showed those pesky Redcoats the strength of our cause on both the AQT and Hits Count Targets, and we have 2 requalified Rifleman, with high scores of 235 and 238. Huzza!  In addition, all of the shooters cleared the Hits Count Target at least once, with Henry leading the way clearing it all four times!    Congratulations to all.

Thanks to all the shooters and the Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club for a great weekend.
