Another sold out event in Arizona! This event's theme seemed to be "Melting Pot Day." We had several students who were not originally born here in the U.S. Two were from Russia, one from London, two from Germany and 2 from Mexico. We also had two students who flew from San Francisco just to be able to attend the event here in Arizona...Not that California is another nation, just expressing appreciation for the travel distance.
We also had 6 youth shooters spanning ages from 8 to 17 and wow where they amazing. Even at the end of the first day, not a single phone, Switch or Gameboy was seen the entire day. They were enthusiastically engaged the entire time.

The Red Coat Targets took a beating and Day 1 ended with 1 400, 5 in the 300, 5 in the 200, and 3 in the 100 with 9 shingles and one clear!! Good lob on the clear, Allan!!!

Despite Day 2 bringing the rain, (yes we do get rain in Phoenix sometimes), we still had 12 students return to PERSIST! More Red Coats went down with an amazing count: 4 in the 400, 4 in the 300, 1 in the 200 and 2 in the 200 with an amazing 7 shingles hit and 2 clears!!! Great job Nick and Stephen!!!

This event brought us two new Riflemen and another Requalification.
Gunnar scored a 221, 226 and 225. This was his second Appleseed in as many months!
Allan scored a 211, 222, and another 211.
Louis scored 219. Should I mention this is the fourth time I've seen Louis at an Appleseed event over the last year?

We ended the day with TWO NEW ORANGE HATS!!! Gunnar, age 16 and Nick who is bringing his orange hat out of retirement!  We are very grateful for your commitment and your willingness to help us in our mission!
