Another awesome Patriots Day weekend at Marion Road Gun Club in Macon, GA. BIG shout out to the club for being such gracious hosts for 10+ years. We had 9 patriots join us eager to hear the message. So, we got down to it...

We began with the First Strike of the Match. After safety, we got the rifles out and shot the Hits Count Target. Congratulations to Don for clearing the target! Huzzah!

Next we dug into our Marksmanship Instruction. Eye Dominance, Sling Use, 6 Steps, NPOA, Prone Shooting, and a trigger exercise. Finally, the shooters efforts were rewarded with some live fire!  :---

At lunch we heard the Second Strike of the match. Then we got back at it. Talking Targets, IMC, Rifleman's Cadence, Magazine Changes, interspersed with shooting.

In the afternoon we took another break for the Third Strike. Then we learned about transitions, 4 Seated Positions, Standing, and of course, shot an AQT. We gathered up to hear about the Philosophy of Liberty of the Founding Fathers. After scoring the AQTs, it was found that Mike requalified with a very respectable 220! Jeremiah and Zachary earned their Luther Blanchard patches. Both young gentlemen give me hope for the future.

Sunday, we began with the story of Prince Estabrook. Then we took some time to review everything. We had several new rifles on the line, so after shooting a Hits Count target, we spent a while sighting people in again. that took us into lunch.

At Lunch we heard some great Dangerous Old Men Stories. While gathered we learned about Rifleman's Bubble and Rifleman's Dance, and then did some Ball & Dummy. Then we shot an AQT. Before learning about Known Distance Shooting.

We had to pack everything up and move to the 100 yard range so we took some time to do so. Once there we did some shooting. Measured our drop. Adjusted for it and verified we were all on target. We then shot the Memorial Volley for the fallen of April 19, 1775. We closed things out with a fun contest shooting steel targets before calling it a day. Apologies, for not writing down all the winners. Congratulations to Mike though the over all winner. We also had a new volunteer join our ranks! Thank you Two Dogs!

Thank you so much to everyone for coming. I look forward to seeing all of you again soon.
