AAR Ramseur Pistol June 17, 2023

The Home Range at Ramseur NC hosted a private pistol clinic on June 17, 2023 for the security team of a local church. This group wanted to improve their pistol marksmanship.


As all had previously attended an Appleseed pistol event, and most at Appleseed rifle events, we focused on pistol fundamentals from the Appleseed training manuals. After a discussion about the 2nd amendment (and 1st amendment!) and their importance to American liberty, we ran two lifts of three shooters each lift.


Because of the heat (90º, 90º humidity) the afternoon took a toll on all involved.


The joke about North Carolina in the summertime: take a hot shower. Don't dry off. Put on all your clothes. Go back to work.


Despite the heat and humidity, this group persisted and consistently became more confident, able to engage the target more quickly, and began to reload very smoothly.


Small private groups like this are a great opportunity to evangelize the Appleseed message!
