Jonesboro, AR - One Day Pistol Clinic - June 17, 2023 - AAR

Eight shooters, along with an impressive instructor cadre braved the blazing sun, heat & humidity to attend the first Appleseed Pistol Clinic to be held in Jonesboro, AR on Saturday, June 17.  The day started bright and early with the set-up.  Our students arrived shortly after and we began the event at 8:30 am.  All were experienced shooters and it showed.  After the safety briefing, pistols were brought to the line and we began instruction in earnest.  All took to it quickly and we were able to soon begin shooting PQT's.  Of the eight, six took home the coveted Pistoleer™ patch.  Brian had the high score of 221,  followed by Jeffery, Keith, Chad, Michael (who qualified with both rimfire & centerfire pistols!) & John.  Joshua and David both were close with Jeffrey shooting centerfire all day.  Most shot multiple qualifying scores.  We took a break in the afternoon and shot the Big Dot/Little Dot challenge.  Two mags of 10.  Two shots each dot.  Timed with misses earning time added.  Lowest time wins - and the winner - Brian!  Great job!   
Big thank you to the Jonesboro Shooting Sports Complex!  What a great facility!  If anyone is ever in the area, you should check it out.  Nice!  Also big thank you to Jarrett who was our BOTG and was instrumental in getting us set-up and ready to go.  Also to Arkansas' instructor cadre who are eager, ready & able to turn out and put on a great event.  Special thank you to our Blue Hat, Yee, who, in addition to check-in and photos, made a pizza run for lunch!  Thank you, thank you, thank you! 
The day ended with everyone being tired, but satisfied that it was a day well spent.  Fun day with a bunch of fun people!

This was a great event and fun group of shooters. Yee and Xyzzy made sure everyone stayed hydrated throughout the day and that kept guys wanting to shoot through the hot humid conditions.

A great Appleseed Pistol Clinic event. My 2nd one (but the 1st one didn't have pizza...). Thank you for your time and expertise to all the instructors and volunteers. We couldn't do it without you.
