Big THANK YOU to Orwell Gun Club for their continued support.

More tonight.
Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery

Wow, what a great time. Seems like all events at Orwell are good times!
Excellent turnout, great crew, instruction, and camaraderie!

What a great weekend (as always) at Orwell Gun Club!  Eight hearty Americans turned out to learn more about using rimfires in the cold at 100 yards and our shared Heritage.

Congratulations to the Riflemen of the weekend Alan, Chris, Rich, Jeff, Tom and out Distinguished Rifleman Nick with a 49!

It was too warm for a Winterseed. :(  The blustery conditions may return for next year.

What a great group of shooters!  I hope to see you all on the trail soon.  Hopefully with a new hat for some of you.  ;)

Dope that worked well in the fridge morning was about 2 MOA high in the mild afternoon!

Thanks to the instructors, CDH and his home base Orwell Gun Club for another great Appleseed event.

While it wasn't 'cold' enough for the the Icicle patch, it was certainly greasy enough after it warmed up to earn a 'pudding' patch...

I didn't think about it while trying to stay upright walking down range to post and move targets, but as I write this, I am grateful that our forefathers fought for a new country in conditions far worse.

It's hard to believe that a mere 247 or so years after the events of April 19, 1775 that there would be anything other than 'THE' National Anthem and this great country would be making international headlines because someone didn't stand for something. On the contrary, I would argue that that by sitting, she STOOD for everything...

Somebody call up Robert Newman, I think it's well past time we hang a third light in the church:

1 if (the enemy comes) by land
2 if (the enemy comes) by sea
3 if (the enemy comes) from within...https://appleseedinfo.org/smf/Smileys/newsmileys/waveusa.gif

Sorry I got a little off target, now it time for me to get back On Target. See you guys there in May and September...

I would like to say thanks to all of the volunteers who give their time to make Appleseed events happen. I would also like to thank the folks from Orwell Gun Club for hosting the event.

Congratulations to all the Rifleman who attended, I had a great time shooting with you guys, and look forward to doing it again. Shoot fast, shoot straight.

A good time was had by all.  Getting a RFKD rocker with irons was too much like work, I won't be doing that again soon.  But I shared the line with a great bunch of guys.  It made the mud tolerable.  And I got to briefly give belly rubs to someone's dog Sunday morning.  The camaraderie was, indeed, excellent.  I hope to see my fellow shooters on the trail at other events later this summer.
