12 Patriots from 4 States gathered together this weekend to refine their instructing and storytelling skills.

Many thanks to Wileycoyote for hosting the event, and to Upacreek for ensuring we were well-fed.

Thanks to Mermaid for stepping up and taking an orange hat.

The history presentations this group presented on Sunday were some of the best I have ever seen at an IBC. The latest crop of orange hats set the bar very high. HUZZAH

Ramblin' Wreck

It was a great IBC. The facility was top notch and a special thanks to Wylie Coyote for making his home available for the event.

The history block with everyone giving their assignments so well gladdened the ol Wreck's heart. This is the Appleseed mission.

I look forward to seeing all these Patriots on the line reigniting the spirit of the founding fathers in the hearts and minds of the next generation of Patriots.
Thanks especially to Captain for driving 8 hours from Arkansas to help out. HUZZAH!
We have KD events coming up, hope to see you on the signup list.

This was a great weekend! I'd border raid more often if I knew it was this fun.  Thanks a lot, Wiley, for letting us have it there.

Captain reviews the seated position with TallTimber as his model.

ArmyVet went over the 6 Steps of Firing the Shot

Ramblin' Wreck gave us a bunch of tips and tricks throughout the weekend.

SpecialK practiced Talking Targets while Captain helps Mermaid attend virtually.  He held that phone for hours and Mermaid did everything but model the positions - even IMC!

Comfy couches, large screen TV, and our tech guy, OverMountain, helped us focus.  I'm sure this beats any ball game going on.

Ramlin'Wreck and ArmyVet show us the hasty sling.

Cleveland got to present Mermaid with her Orange Hat!  She had to wait until Sunday, since she was sick on Saturday.

Wileycoyote shows us what to do if rifles malfunction.

Mermaid practices the steady hold factors for the prone position with SpecialK as her model.

Captain

What a great event at the famous Sale Creek Resort! It's always a good weekend when Appleseeders come together to work on being more effective at accomplishing our mission but doubly so when attended by such a talented and motivated group of Orange Hats.

The location was in a beautiful locale near Chattanooga that I had never seen (thanks Wiley Coyote) - it really could be a resort! And we always had fantastic food during the event thanks to the efforts of Upacreek. Does food make the IBC? . . . I can't argue against it.

Special thanks to Ramblin' Wreck and Mrs. Wreck for letting me crash at their house. The "van down by the river" gets a little chilly in the winter. :) We also had the chance to get a masters class in shooter coaching and standing. I've used some of Wreck's standing lessons for my own shooting and they can really up the standing scores!

Highlight of the weekend for me was the quick histories we heard on Sunday. One Appleseeder had me out of my chair after hearing the story of Josiah Haynes. That 3 minutes alone was worth the drive! I can't wait to hear one of your strikes.

It was a special weekend with Brothers (and Sisters) in Liberty and I left with a bunch of notes and ideas to refine and improve my own Appleseeding. Final thanks to Cleveland for putting on the event and allowing me to partake. I can't wait for next year!

It was a great event! Thanks to everyone who participated!

Maximum effort

It was a great day with the AS family. SpecialK and I learned a lot, and we greatly appreciate the time and effort that the instructors put in so generously.

What a great IBC!  I continue to learn at each IBC I attend, and this time was no different.  Cleveland, thank you for stepping up to the plate and continuously pushing us towards excellence in our craft!  If we're not maintaining the integrity of our mission and message as well as perfecting our tradecraft of reminding a nation as to why we exist, then we're neglecting to honor those who gave us the right to do such things in the first place!

It was truly an honor to be with you all this weekend.  I wish I could have spent more time with each of you, what a unique and precious family we have adopted!  Thinking back over the weekend, I would be remiss to neglect a few personal affirmations:

Wreck, your sincerity, integrity, and passion for the mission is infectious, it is this fire that continues to ignite in the souls of sleeping patriots, rippling through generations, and awaken them to their astonishing heritage.
Cleveland, taking up the mantle and asking for bigger buckets does not go unnoticed.  Our forefathers would be honored to count you among their posterity.
ArmyVet, your servant leadership and restrained confidence proves a professionalism that we should all wish to emulate.
Captain, thank you for broadening our horizons.  Your experience and wide range of experiences and insight is invaluable.

Upacreek, Tall Timber, and Maximum Effort, keep up the tremendous work!  You're lightyears beyond where you were last year, and I only expect to see that improvement again in 12 months' time!

I could honestly, and will all certainty, continue the down the roster and praise every one of you.  You showed up, you took on the mission and the hat, you're putting in the work, you're continuing to prepare to engage with others, and you're improving!  Well done!
