What a great weekend!

Fifteen pistol enthusiasts from four states gathered at the sheriff's training facility in Canon, GA., to spend a weekend studying the craft of pistol instruction. Lots of great questions; long discussions about the culture of pistol instruction and Appleseed; and about the goals and future of the pistol program.

The sheriff's training facility is first rate, downright luxurious for an Appleseed.

Several instructors made valuable suggestions for improving the program -- because every program can always be improved.

We minted seven charter pistol instructors, moving the program another step forward.

Many thanks to ScubaSteve and Roswell for their instruction and support. It's great to have skilled pistol instructors at these events.

The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed -- where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.

-- Justice Alex Kozinski, US 9th Circuit Court, 2003

A weekend well spent.

The information was on point and well presented.

Thanks Scuba Steve and Roswell you did an outstanding job with all the demonstrations and the error analysis exercise.

A big thanks to Malabar for keeping us on track and sharing his wealth of knowledge on pistol shooting.

The sheriff's training facility was indeed first rated and its use is greatly appreciated.

This was a great event!

Thanks Malabar, Scuba Steve and Roswell for running such an informational IBC.  I learned a lot from you guys!

I can't wait to start holding pistol clinics here in the FL Panhandle!

Thanks to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office for allowing us to use their facility - it was the perfect site for the event.

It's not about perfection -- it's about progress!!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again" Ronald Reagan
