Another great week at the Leyden Rifle Club! 9 Shooters were present to be stretched, and have their horizons broadened. We also saw sights rarely seen at an Appleseed (there may be a reason for this : ).

Saturday started chilly and early (long johns stayed on all weekend). goodpiper provided instruction and strikes through the day, as we got various equipment issues sorted out. Early in the afternoon Todd made rifleman (225), and continued shooting solid rifleman scores through the weekend. By the end of the day everyone was heading in the right direction.

Sunday didn't start as chilly, but then never got as warm as Sat. A brief shower late morning gave us the opportunity to do DOM. crickneck (our loaner from Kentucky) presented Samuel Whittmore (his first public presentation), and did a fine job. goodpiper continued DOM, and as it was still raining, everyone thought another story would be in order. So goodpiper told (and sang) of the Battle of Bennington. By this time the rain had abated, and we pressed on with our marksmanship.  Mid-afternoon aim presented KD, and we then took it up to the 100yd shooting line to experience bullet drop and what to do about it. At the end of the day we fired the Memorial Volley, and final words. I hope to see everyone back again in August with rifles suitably titavated.

Again a big thanks to the Leyden Rifle Club for hosting this event. Thanks also to aim, crickneck, ralph33, and a special thanks to nuttree who was my "right arm" through the weekend.

Pictures coming soon.
