I LOVE Ladyseeds!!!

These ladies showed up ready to listen, learn and apply skills.  The majority of these ladies had never shot a rifle - a couple had shot a few of times.    The ladies listened intently to the history and the dangerous dame stories.  We did not have any new Riflewomen, but all shooters did make significant progress as shown by the increasing scores on the AQTs.:  Christine increased her score by 70; Kris by 52; Emma by 62; Chris by 33, and Tiffany by 66!  Pretty Amazing!!  Krista and Ava were able to shoot only one AQT, but both scored Marksman scores -- while Nora only shot one, but will be back next month to increase her scores!!!  One IIT re-qualified.

Tim, "Dragon" showed up in period-correct dress and was kind enough to bring out his "museum quality" Revolutionary War artifacts -- and took the time to show and tell about each item.  He also brought a black-powder long rifle that he allowed the ladies to shoot.  That is always quite a treat!

MyNameIsEarl and Gunjunkie told great Strikes, and Bama Girl told her favorite Dangerous Dame story and did a fine job!

All instructors did an awesome job of instructing - again, as shown by the increasing scores.  The ladies were very appreciative of all of the great instruction.  We have an amazing instructor cadre' and I love working with each and every one of you!   Thank you Patriot19775, Dragon, KonaBoy, Waky, Stan the Man, Bama Girl, MyNameIsEARL, Mrs. Waky and Gunjunkie for making this event such a success!

It's not about perfection -- it's about progress!!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again" Ronald Reagan

This was a great weekend with some very determined ladies. I know we will see many back soon as they are so close to that patch. Excellent job Just Kim and all the instructors.

I have been remiss in not posting to this outstanding event. I love sharing the living history display, dressing up in period costume and letting the ladies shoot the flintlock. Looking forward to the next Ladyseed!
