What a great shoot on a great weekend! Beautiful days, two new KD riflemen (congrats Javier and Josh), and Alex re-qualified! But that's not all, folks! We completed seven AQTs for the weekend and all without any safety issues! Couldn't have asked for a better event--well if I hadn't have come down with food poisoning Saturday night that it is  :-\. Luckily we had two other very qualified shoot bosses  out there in A-lister and GenX Minuteman to pick up the ball, and boy did they ever! Thanks to everyone, and we'll see you next time!

Awesome event as always. One thing I noticed about KD - it harshly shows you all the hidden flaws and what you need to work on. Too bad I wasn't able to attend a second day two times in a row but I hope third time is a charm

lol New Braunfels rocks. I guess you met Alex and got to talk a bit?

And cool - I see that Javier got his KD Patch.

Thanks all y'all instructors.

He was the one who introduced me to Appleseed in 2019. We attended 5 or 6 events together as a shooters :)

This was such a great event!!!  Great shooters, great weather and great friends!!!  Congratulations to Josh who nailed a KD Rifleman after working out his kinks with his bad ass MK12-Mod 1 rifle!  I'm still ultra jealous of that darn thing.  Likewise, another congratulations goes out to Javier who made KD Rifleman with iron-sights!!!  Not an easy task on both accounts and these guys made quick work of the KD score.  Way to go guys!!!

Curious how you're scoring those. I see what looks like both the standard points and hits. Looks like a wonderful event!

Hey CountZero,  for KDs where the full size target is available (not all KDs have the full size targets, only the center) it is acceptable to count scores and hits.  The participant can make KD Rifleman by either achieving 200 pts. out of 250 or 40 hits out of 50 in the black.  When participants have an interest in conserving ammunition, we opt for scoring/counting Stages 1, 2 and 3 and then shooting only 10 rounds at Stage 4 and doubling it.  Hope this helps clarify the system of scoring.
