We had a fantastic weekend in Durango with a total of seven patriots showing up to learn the history of April 19th, 1775 along with rifle marksmanship skills. We couldn't have asked for nicer weather, a more beautiful range, or a better group of people.

I'm proud to announce we have a new riflemen! Congratulations to Andy who shot a 212 on Sunday. We had a couple of people scoring in the 190's and low 200's, and overall I think everyone learned some new skills and showed measurable improvement in their marksmanship.

It was encouraging to have people coming from four different states (Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Texas) to attend our event. Several people drove over five hours to get here, but Tim wins the prize for flying up from Texas.

Several people need to be thanked for making this such a great event:

  • Thank you Tim for coming up from Texas to help instruct and for bringing two friends to shoot
  • Thank you Brian for always being there early to help setup, for helping instruct and run the line, and for staying after to help tear down and load up gear
  • Thank you to all the shooters who stayed late to help tear down and load up gear as well
  • And last but not least, Many Thanks to Lyle for sharing his beautiful range with us

Here are a few pictures I took. If you click on the image they should expand. Click on them again and they will shrink back down.

What a great time! As Rex said, what a gorgeous range, and a LOT cooler than Texas weather right now  ^:)^. Thank you, Rex, Bryan, and Lyle for the experience. My friends are still talking about it, and I think I've created a couple "believers"  :snipersmi. Keep up the great work, and come down and visit one of our shoots sometime!
Cheers and Huzzah!

Looks like another fantastic shoot in Eastern Iowa! Congrats to Andy on shooting expert and getting some patch action. How did you ever get PaleRider that far north, I didn't realize he ever ventured past the Red River :)

P.S. The pictures are great!
