Event:     AppleSeed (2 Day Clinic)
Location: Alamogordo, NM.
Date:      17-18 APR 2021

Day 01:
Our day started at 0900 hrs with 8 of 9 registering students checking in ready to learn American history, and our patriot's most coveted skill.  We barely felt the morning chill while accomplishing the Red Coats, learning the secret of the sling, NPOA, focusing on sight-in squares, IMC, and different shooting positions.  After an enlightening lunch, the challenge of transitioning was introduced and quickly acquired. We ended the day with an AQT and a Red Coat, both showing marked improvement and a since of accomplishment.

Day 02:
The cool air, slight drizzle, and gusty winds did not stop the 8 returning students from recalling the previous day's lesson for an impressive show on the morning Red Coats.
4 student(s), three hits in the 100 yds silhouette
2 student(s), three hits in the 200 yds silhouette
1 student(s), three hits in the 300 yds silhouette
2 student(s), single hit in the Murphy Square (250 yds)
1 student(s), three hits in all four silhouette

After a student aided review session we began the AQT Grind all the way to lunch.  After lunch the AQT Grind continued.  At 1400 hrs, we stopped to participate in the Patriot's Day Memorial Volley, 13 shots in honor of those who lost their life on 19 APR 1775.  Afterwards, the AQT Grind continued until the end of the day, producing one first time Appleseed Rifleman (now an official Orange Hat) and AQT scores ranging from 137 through 199.  Outstanding job!

Thank you to all of our shooters, the instructors, and the Sidney Paul Gordon Shooting Range for another great weekend.
