So, I stepped away from Appleseed for a bit, due to personal reasons, but, thank God I am back.
In the field defenses binary triggers...
Are they all that? At only $225? Um, yeah.
if you are running an Andersen lower, or an 80% you milled yourself, well, the specs might not be quite correct, and you may find yourself playing with a rat file for a few minutes. But, after 12 lowers, and 12 installs, yeah, they pretty much just run true.
I called Bob Ghallager at In the Field Defenses (the designer and inventor), a true patriot, who has already donated to Appleseed, and talked over the specs. Basically, he is a Navy Seabee for real, couldn't afford a Fostech, nor a Franklin Armory, etc. so, he had to come up with another plan.

His trigger design is simple, 1 trigger, a standard ar trigger, with and extra mill hole for an extra spring, you cut off the back, but, now, he is doing the back cut for you if you want. One standard spring for the semi dis-connector and one for the full auto dis-connector. Both dis-connectors (from him) are milled down to fit side by side in the trigger. That is basically it. Standard springs for trigger, and hammer. And wow, it just runs. Simulated full auto is just basic pull and release, you don't need to be quick on the trigger. You can run double taps, bursts, or dumps. This is the real deal, and since you are running real dis-connectors, you can't overrun the trigger timing.
I have put hundreds of rounds through them, in 7.62x39 Soviet in my ar's. Do I have feed issues? Yup!!! All due to ASC magazines, NOT the trigger, and yes I have switched to 6.8 spc mags, and they run just fine.
But, if you want a low cost binary, that just gets the job done consistently think about ITF binary triggers.

I stand by Bob, and the triggers he is making.
He is a small shop, but, is trying the best he possibly can with covid and all (aren't we all?) and no, you don't have 4-6 month lead times, more like 2 weeks.
However, knowing y'all in Appleseed, he might get covered up pretty fast now, guess I need to place another order... and call him direct.
To give you an idea of how good these binaries are, my full auto is for sale on the forum. If you want the real deal, buy mine please, but, I think after posting this, no one will...

Update, there was an issue between ITF and Franklin...
Bob Gallagher took down his website until his patent is approved and completed and looks forward to returning to business as usual as soon as the patent is finalized.
