We had another great April 19 memorial weekend at the pirate range. We were joined by 14 great Americans as we dove into history, heritage and marksmanship. After the morning redcoat target, we dove into the land of 1 inch squares. We joined in the national memorial Volley,  commemorating the fallen of April 19 th.  CAL 7.62  joined me in instructing a great group of folks as we finished off the day with an AQT and a Redcoat target.  There was much improvement throughout the day as groups tightened but no rifleman scores yet. Sunday dawned cool and overcast the same as Saturday and after a quick review we got into the AQT grind.  When the dust settled we had two new rifleman. First to post a qualifying score was Ian with a 213 and for the last AQT of the Dave posted a 233.  For honorable mention we had to Riflewoman requalify. Alex posted a 215 and Boa posted a 225.  I was joined by Zoanyway and Joseph from the instructor core  and clearly their efforts paid off. After presenting Rifleman patches  and a benediction Dave decided to join the instructor core and donned the orange hat of Destiny.  Another successful April 19 event at Piru has entered the history books. A thank you to all that took the time to join us in our effort to honor the Founding Fathers. Post pics here.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom,go home from us.We ask not your counsels or arms.Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you.May your chains set lightly upon you and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. It was a pleasure and an honor as always. I'm having a hard time getting photos to upload, so I'm going to try one at a time... But one way or another, I'd like to welcome our new Rifleman and our new IIT to the fold.

Hey guys, this is Ian checking in. Thx for posting the pics, I gave it a think over the last few days and I'm wondering if the offer to step up to IIT is still open for me too? I'd like to dive in.

Sorry for the delay. I was having some issues getting photos off of my phone. Here's the pics from 4/27.
