I'd like to thank Chesterfield Fish & Game Club for inviting Project Appleseed back to the Adirondack North Country. This was our fourth summer on the range at Chesterfield, and these events are always a blast.

Hats off to all the new shooters who joined us this year, and everyone who braved the stormy weather on Saturday morning. Luckily the weather turned in our favor for the rest of the afternoon and we were able to wrap up our marksmanship instruction, share the stories of April 19, 1775, and close out the day with our first Appleseed Qualification Test.

Sunday was all sunshine, and everyone was moving along at a good pace as we worked on refining the fundamentals and banging out some more AQT's. Congratulations to our qualifying Riflemen: Katie, Carmen and Chris - impressive shooting! During lunch we shared some more history stories, and learned about the Northern Department which played a critical role in securing America's independence by seizing the forts, artillery, supply lines and strategic waterways that run through this historic region of New York.

After lunch we learned about the concepts for shooting Known Distance (KD); target detection, range estimation, and making the shot - and then we headed back out to the range to flex our skills at 100 yards. It was awesome to hear all the rounds that were hitting steel out there, and we hope some of you can join us for the Rimfire KD shoot in Williamson NY in September.

Three huzzahs to team "Prudence Wright" for running away with the Parker's Revenge fun-shoot - amazing work, Katie and Carmen.

We hope to be back at Chesterfield next summer, and if there's enough demand maybe we will run another 200-yard Rimfire KD shoot out there. Either way, we hope to see all of you back out on the lines with us. A Rifleman Persists!

Many thanks to the entire crew at Chesterfield, and particularly Valcour '76 for all the heavy lifting you do every year to provide Appleseed with a smooth arrival and departure. It's always great to see you guys :)

And thank you to our awesome crew of Appleseed volunteers - mmirate, Hawkman, OmegaBurn, Bucky and LadyRimfire - we appreciate your efforts keeping Marksmanship, History and Liberty alive in New York!

Without further ado, here's some Event Photos!
