15 fine Americans braved the heat today! SUNLAND lived up to it's name, had to be 90+ today.

Congrats to new Rifleman Kevin Low . squeaked by with a 210 score .... :~.   O0

Both previous Appleseed attendees and a few new ones present...

Josh and Daniel battled out the day trying to best each other... I love a family rivalry...

Seems that both were hovering in the 180 area until the end of the day...
josh's high score was 193, but Daniel beat him with a 194...

Other high scores were Craig J.=182, Christina=183, Eric=171, Cody N.=170,
with Owen Brian and Ray all at least making Marksman.

We lost a couple (Carol and Robert) to the heat Saturday, but it was HOT!

On Sunday afternoon, Daniel cleared the redcoat!!! He even said to himself,
"why couldn't I do that on the AQT???

Daniel is 15 and has shot his Rifleman score at Piru already
and is ready and willing to take on the Orange Instructor in Training hat,
just let us know at the next event, and we will get you started. A Purple Rifleman patch awaits you!

I hope everyone had a good time overall and hope the lessons of our forefathers
ring true in the hearts and minds of all Americans.

I will post pictures tomorrow, but everyone feel free to post their thoughts and comments!

Proverbs 22:3  -  A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even when checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy, nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory or defeat".
