It was another great weekend at L.E. Duncans Rainbow Range,  18 participants Saturday with 11 returning Sunday, 16 Ruger 10/22's and 2 Marlins made for less trouble on the line. There was 50/50 mix between experienced shooters and less experienced shooters, all improved throughout the weekend and were attentive to the history.  It was inspiring to see someone completely new to shooting become comfortable with the rifle and go away with a smile. Chris a returning riflemen showed what he is about by consistently shooting riflemen scores with a high of 235. Great job Chris. The whole group stayed both afternoons to assist with range cleanup, taking down the Easy-Up tent city, helping out in general which is greatly appreciated. Many Thanks to the Instructors, Orange and Blue hats that support the program.



A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks.

Another great shoot at Rainbow. A lot of solid improvement in marksmanship through the weekend. I predict many future riflemen from this group.
