This was an incredibly fun shoot!  With three attendees and four instructors (incl. Big John, Darkfoot, and Tundra Badger) it allowed for a lot of one-on-one interaction.

The first day was spent wringing out some equipment issues; improvising slings, adjusting eye relief on scopes, oiling bolts, switching out mags.  But once these were taken care of Melissa, Doug, and Gabriel got down to some serious marksmanship improvement.  At the start of the day, we had only one red coat silhouette with three shots on it, a 100 yard.  But by the end of the first day all three were on at 100 yards and some at further distances.

The second day was radically better with even two 250 yard 'heads' falling under their aim.  Doug and Gabriel had to leave in the early afternoon so had limited AQT attempts.  But Melissa stayed and persisted to knock out a long string of 200 to 206 scores.  Then, on the final AQT of the day, she pieced it all together to rocket through to a 215!  Oh, and did I mention that she used a bolt action rifle with iron sights.  O0   Congratulations on your rifleman's patch!

Thanks to the attendees and instructors for making this such a fun and productive shoot.  I hope to see all of you on the line at future events.
