I had a great time with the folks who braved the chilly mornings that turned into perfect afternoons.

We had a determined group of attendees, with several there and ready to get going at 7:30 Sunday morning!  We obliged with a total of 12 AQTs over the weekend.  Eddie shot an impressive 222 on the first try Saturday.  He even started eyeing an orange hat, and shadowed an RSO for a while.  Sunday morning Evan shot a 211, and Stuart followed on the next try with a 219.  Great job, Riflemen!  :---

Everyone there did a great job, with groups in standing and seated that I don't get to see very often, and even more rare that it happened so quickly.  The shooters that didn't get riflemen scores were making me nervous, as I hoped I wouldn't run out of patches!  ;D

I did have the honor of giving Nathan a youth patch.  Thank you John, for helping to pay it forward to the next generation.

Our crew did a great job too.  I'd like to thank Everett (zonkertx), Mark (El Tejano), Jerry (Twinkle Toes) and Rodger (Two Wolves) for all the hard work, and double thanks to Rodger and Jerry for the setup before the weekend started.  We also saw our blue hat Tonya, but for shorter than usual this time.  She brought a very enthusiastic report of her time at the Alamo on Saturday, and how she promoted Appleseed at the rally there.

KNS Precision helps our mission by sponsoring our shoots. Among other things, they sell reduced m.o.a. front sites for your rifle.

Hope to see all of you in December!  In the meantime, I hope lots of pictures suddenly appear below this post.    :pop:

A moral compass provides a basis for making decisions; an action is good or bad, right or wrong when viewed in the light of the individual's moral bearing. If no moral compass exists for the individual, then decisions and actions are made on the basis of purely subjective thoughts. This leads to "If it makes me happy, or makes me feel good, or if it's something I simply want to do, then it is right and good."
