Here is a target stand idea I got when I was helping with a shoot at Winterset, Iowa. Thought I'd share it with everyone.

We just use a spacer a little thicker than the lath rather than cutting a dado. (my limited carpentry skills) Original design came from 4H Shooting sports program. We keep them under cover when not in use, so regular 2x4 studs work great.
