Hello All,

I just received my replacement 10/22 Takedown from Ruger and the bolt holding the rifle into the stock is an allen bolt where i had always had a slotted. Just an FYI
1. Point the sights where they need to be pointed
2. Keep 'em there while you squeeze the trigger.
3. Repeat

could you report which size allen key is required?  I'd like to make sure I've got one in my "Appleseed Rifle Toolbox"

"To save us both time in the future... how about you give me the combo to your safe and I'll give you the pin number to my bank account..."

It is a #4. I wonder if this is on all new 10/22s? My takedown is fresh from the factory as a replacement for a defective rifle.

I replaced my slotted takedown screws on the regular 10-22's within a week of buying the rifles.  They are now allen heads ordered online from MidWayUSA.
