Anyone using the Little Crow WFT Trimmer?

I am thinking about upgrading my trimming procedure for 30-06. The WFT trimmer has gotten some good reviews in press,  but I would like to hear some real-world experiences using this style of trimmer.

The biggest question I have is, does the overall length of your trimmed brass vary considerably due to the trimmer indexing off of the shoulder? It would be a pain to have enough variation that you had to adjust the seating die from case to case to get the bullet seated to the correct depth. Particularly if using cannelured bullets with a crimp.

I have one and use it often especially with my 200 and 300 yard loads amongst some other trimmers as well.  As long as you use one type of brass and use a quality full length resizing die first and evenly lube all the cases they will be pretty uniform in brass OAL  ie, LC, Winchester, etc. The biggest problem I found was that I always get a burr no matter what I do so I have to champfer and deburr regardless.  If you put your drill in a vise you can have sorta a kinda gracey type trimmer.  Some opinions are that off the shoulder of resized brass is more accurate (as its like the chamber of the rifle) some say it is less. You could also go to ebay and buy a CTS trimmer and their adapter and make your own type of gracey trimmer with your own electric motor.   The CTS has less of a burr and just as accurate I think.  For my 600 loads using a 80SMK I use a Forster 3 in 1 blade on the forster trimmer with  the power attachment, it is precise and chamfers very uniformly and deburrs all in one.  Full length resize and clean all the lube off before you trim with the WFT or CTS.  I was told that the CTS makes a better square cut at the case mouth than the WFT but I have not measured that.  CTS customer service was the best.

Thanks Spartan, I'll take a look at both the CTS and Forester trimmers as well.

I use Forester trimmers, but then I do a lot of different calibers, some really odd.

FWIW, if you have a drill press (large or small), the Forester drill press trimmer works really well.
They have men amongst them who know very well what they are about, having been employed as Rangers against the Indians and Canadians and this country being much covered with wood, and hilly, is very advantageous for their method of fighting. . . . ".  Lord Percy

Sounds like New Englanders to me.
