To begin this  thread, I would like to comment that we experienced perhaps the best shooting weather I have ever seen in GA.  Both days were cloudless, and had temperature highs in the mid 70's with no humidity.  Fantastic!  Early mornings were pretty brisk, but warmed up nicely with the welcome arrival of the sun.

We had a great turnout of a bunch of enthusiastic shooters on Saturday, but unfortunately didn't produce any Riflemen.  A number of shooters were knocking on the door, but not quite loudly enough.  The 3 Strikes were well presented by Goose, Stonedog and DrJohn during the course of the day, and were really enjoyed by the shooters.  At the end of Saturday we had a lot of tired, sore shooters who still managed to maintain their enthusiasm.

On Sunday, because we weren't able to begin shooting until noon, we used the morning to effectively review all the safety and marksmanship materials we had presented an Saturday, plus DrJohn gave us a great KD presentation.

Come noon, we began to hit it hard.  After shooting our Redcoat and a Ball and Dummy exercise, the AQTs began to roll by in a rapid manner.  In mid-afternoon we were able to move some of our students down to the 100 yard KD range while the AQTs continued on the main range.

At the KD range I saw something that I want to share:  Asa, a young shooter who had moved to the KD range with his father, was able to effectively put to shame with his .22 all the other grown ups who were mostly shooting .223s by being the only one who put all 10 rounds in the black for a couple of targets.  Way to go Asa !!!

We ended a beautiful and fun day with 2 new Riflemen (Russell and Jamie, both with 217s), 1 requalifier (Steve) , 2 new Orange Hats (Russell and Steve) and 2 IIT promotions (Endangered and Sherpa).  My heartiest congratulations to all.

Hey OF
Nice to see you in working  :D

Georgia ---- men and women who truly know what they are about  O0
Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

We indeed had a fine event last weekend. We had too many students for me to mention particular names, but it was a pleasure and honor to work with you all, previous Appleseeders and those who attended for the first time. It was an especial pleasure to "get paid" handsomely at this event by seeing the improvement in marksmanship that was demonstrated by everyone. But it was even more meaningful to see eyes begin to light up with the fire of Liberty as we related the Story of April 19, 1775, and vignettes of the Dangerous Old Men, Brave Women, and Gallant Children who helped establish this wonderful country. And to receive into the teaching brotherhood and sisterhood the stalwart souls who are determined to help bail and save the sinking ship of Liberty. My most sincere thanks to "Oldfudd" for being a fine Shoot Boss, and for the wonderful instructors "Flathead", "Friedenmeister", "Sherpa", "Goose", "Endangered",  "Stonedog", and "K209", who all made major contributions to make this such an outstanding event. Huzza!!!
