What a grand weekend for Americans to gather together.  We had 7 shooters this weekend.  The attendees were Warren, Greg and his son Chris (12), Harry and his son Jeff (14), and husband and wife Rob & Kim.

It was just Shooter and I so we asked Warren to work with us, and he gladly participated.  This wasn't Warren's first rodeo clearing the line for an event.  I asked Warren to become Applecore, but he declined, although he said he was available to help AS in anyway.  I'm hoping he's holding out for the Orange Hat.   O0

I want to say just how proud I am of all the shooters.   We drove them hard and they were true to the spirit of a Rifleman, they never complained or quit.  Saturday was typical for New Mexico.  It started off cold, and then got hot.  The rain and lightning moved in just after lunch and we took a break to let the lightning pass.  It was cold again, but everyone was back to T-shirts within the next hour.  We had some pretty strong gusty winds midday both days.

We had 5 previous event participants, and 2 new shooters.  All of them shot well.  All of the repeat participants shot their personal high scores at this event.  Warren is knocking on the door very loudly with a 203.  Greg and Rob shot personal high scores of 189 & 188 respectively.

There's so much more to tell about the outstanding job everyone did, so I guess I share just a little more.  Chris was shooting a bolt action rifle this weekend.  When we first started shooting the AQT's, Chris was setting the bar for everyone in the standing position.  But, let's not leave Jeff out, he was setting a pace that made his father Harry take note and bear down.  I enjoyed working with both of you fine young Americans!

I hope to see every one of you again!

Hey Y'all,

I want to take the time to thank Gideon and Shooter for hosting and the usual excellent instruction. [size=12ptEvery Appleseed instructor I have ever met has contributed immencely to my success with overcoming my bad shooting habits. You all know who you are!

I can say that all the participants came away improved marksmen/women and improved Americans. Personally, I do progress slowly but steadily towards the goal of Rifleman. I value that which I struggle for and appreciate all the help I've been given along the way.

                                                                       Thank You!
