Well if you can believe it we had Rain in Fresno - yes, that's right, rain in Fresno; in June none the less.

However, Even with the rain it was a great shoot. There were 5 shooter on both Sat and Sun and they all progressed very well.

A new IIT stepped up first thing on Saturday morning  **). She shot her rifleman score in Feb and has attended numerous shoots and we are excited to welcome her as an instructor, Stacey (possible forum name Pyro Sprinkles, but still awaiting confirmation.

Saturday the shooters moved through the instruction quickly, and enjoyed a great dose of revolutionary history; and, we were able to  complete 3 AQTs before heading out of the range.

On Sunday, all the shooters returned and they practiced and reviewed the skills they had learned from Saturday before moving on to the AQTs. The AQT grind was broken up a little by a quickfire AQT, ball-dummy, and a tank shoot (2 chances at the same tank  8)), and at the end of the day everyone had improved their score and 1 rifleman emerged - Ryan (Koshi). He had struggled all day saturday with a combo of ammo not working properly and on sunday once we figure out what the issue was his group size dropped in half and he was finally able to get his sights zeroed and at the end of the day he showed that with a rifleman score. Congrats.

I hope to hear form all of our shooters (sorry this is up so late - I have had a lot happen since the shoot)
Rifleman's Cadence: one well placed shot every 2 to 3 seconds..... unless your hyperventilating (modified from AmbulanceDriver)

A vote is like a rifle; its usefulness depends upon the character of the user. - Theodore Roosevelt

Had a great weekend with all the shooters and instructors.

First, that tanks star will be gone next time,

But second I feel like I cheated my way to rifleman cause I shot it with a scope? Obviously an advantage to have a better sight on target (especially zeroed in) but just makes me wonder is it more because I had the scope, or because fundamentals that I ended up shooting rifleman? I'll be back to shoot it again no doubt, scoped, dotted, and irons, but for this time at least I just keep wondering even with zeroed irons, would I still have shot it? ???
