The name of the game today was perserverence, and there was plenty to go around.  Steady winds from changing direction of 25-30 mph with gusts up to 67, rain, sleet, hail, snow... the shooters on the line were definitely put to the test, but showed that they were fully there with the intention of learning as much as possible and applying it.  Despite the weather conditions, we unquestionably made the most of the opportunity.  Our shooters improved by leaps and bounds over the course of the day, and should be well on their way to achieving rifleman tomorrow.

(On a very positive note, we had an outstanding instructor-to-student ratio.)

Great attitude, perserverance  and drive by the shooters and the crew in tough demanding, circumstances....here is one of appleseeders with his pockets  filled to the brim with potential tube magazines.  Not a soul complained during the the day about the WX conditions: rain, snow, sleet and 67 MPH winds,,,  Awesome day!!

I've just spoken with boltgun71 on the phone about your weather conditions today and the remarkable perseverance by the instructors and shooters.  A FANTASTIC job fellows - I'm proud to say your members of the NY Appleseed Instructor Corps!

HUZZAH!  HUZZAH!  HUZZAH!

Thank you all for making this a successful day, both for Appleseed and for your shooters.

Sunday was an impressive finish with 50% riflemen of our Appleseeders and IIT3 Rattlehead confirmed his Riflemans status at KD out to 400 Yards.  Great Job!!!!

I love it up there.  The dirt road that is the KD range.  The wind turbines.  That weird pizza place.  The frozen Sub Canadian plateau.  I believe it's called tundra, no?  Anyway, it's like the Asian steppe up there.  Expect Mongolian horsemen any second.  Prepare for the Horde.

50% Rifleman is awesome.  It seems to happen when a good corps of Instructors is highly represented against a comparable number of shooters.  But it only happens with a good group of both.

Spartan,
Hope your tents weren't distroyed with the winds, threw them up and over cars, wow, was nice taking with you before and during the shoot.
You guys rock, I've been known to say - What's the weather got to do with it, lets go - Give me my mission and get outta the way - Guess you guys did it, nice job. Waiting to see that SB title so I can work for you at a shoot.
Shooters at an event like this now know what our hero's of our Nation went thru for months. It was weather like this April 18 / 19, 1775.

Despite the turnout, despite the weather, despite everything that should have turned this shoot south, I woiuld chalk it up as a solid success.  Both shooters made a LOT of progress and were shooting very very well at the end of the day, and not only stuck it out, but enjoyed it.

Absolutely!  Anybody that shows up for an Appleseed is entitled to the very best, and these shooters got just that.

I love being able to give real attention to individual shooters.  That's when you can see that this stuff really works.

Congrats on the KD qually.
