Another great shoot in the State of California. Spelled with a C not  K. Seven Patriots showed up for Saturday's shoot. Weather was a bit warm with lots of wind and dust. Living up to the Indian name Piru! . Covers had to be taken down before we even started, but a Rifleman persists. The first Redcoat showed we had lots of room for improvement, and improve the shooters did. Louis was hitting consistent 190's before we ended the day. Unfortunately he and Naomi were only there for one day. Naomi was also doing well and showed great improvement by qualifying at 400 yards on the last Redcoat and getting the head shot!

Daniel, 753x0 stepped up to take an orange hat on Sunday after shooting well all weekend. He showed up with to fine young men Quintin and Ben. Both showed great improvement by doubling their AQT scores from Saturday. Another young shooter, William was there with his dad Bob, William was shooting a SIG 556 22. From the start he was shooting 4 minute of angle groups. Giving Bob a run for his money. I am sure both will be back and make Rifleman.

AS Minuteman's History and Musket were a big hit. He let everyone shoot his rifled musket with many hitting the steel Redcoat at 50 yards. The sound of black power going bang and the ring of steel is the sound of freedom!

Sunday another Bob showed up with Nikki. Bob is a returning Appleseeder and close to making Rifleman. Nikki was shooting in the 150's by the end of the day and well on her way to making Rifleman. Sunday was a hot one and we needed to take a water break in the afternoon or I think the shooters would not have lasted to the Redcoat. After a short break and some history they were back at it. Although we did not make any Rifleman this weekend we had great improvement among all the shooters and many say they will be back next month. Thanks to all the instructors who showed up to help out, Kool Aid, Cowgirl Ducky, Mr. Pete, Judgecrater, AS Minuteman, and Freeman.

And as promised the M! Garand training link This will get you to the site make sure you get them both.

Hey guys its Louis, in case my name wasn't blatant enough. Me and Naomi had a great time on Saturday, hats off to all the instructors who helped us improve our marksmanship. You guys are doing a good thing with Appleseed and we're looking to come back with even more people next time. Thanks a lot gentlemen!

Damn Louis you beat me to it.

I had a really great time Saturday. You all really are doing a great thing, and I would love to attend more of your events. Hats off and a curtsie to all the instructors and Mr. Pete for all the hard work they put into this. I learned so much about marksmanship and history, I was blown away!

The lunch presentation was a lot of fun, and really informative. I felt really excited to be a part of it, even though I had no idea what I was getting into when I showed up.

Even though I knew that shooting was no easy task, I never realized how much went into it. I was physically and mentally exhausted at the end of the day with banged up elbows and a sunburn. Next time (there will definitely be a next time), I'll be more prepared...I think I might want to invest in my own rifle!

I hope to personally attend an Appleseed shoot once a month, and plan on bringing along family and friends.

Again, thank you everyone for the great Saturday. Next time, I plan on doing a whole weeked  ;)

Mr Pete

Some satisfaction comes from personal achievement.  I felt that when I hit Rifleman.

I can't express the satisfaction I felt while watching you all.  There is an adage that nobody can teach you anything...but you can learn.  You all learned and own every one of your achievements.

You trusted us and more importantly had confidence in yourselves and that led to some impressive things.

Hats off to you,
-Pete

Naomi and Louis it was a pleasure to have both of you there. I look forward to seeing both of you again. Hopefully it won't be so windy and we can get the awnings up for some shade!
