Well I guess I have got the Appleseed bug.  I just bought 2 Ruger 10-22's for family members. We will be at the Shoot in Shioton WI.  And I am considering ILL in April.

I can't stop thinking about the great weekend I had in CAL.  Thanks again to everyone who did not shoot and worked the line.  You guys are the best!

Tony Bries

Hey Tony,
Congratulations on the two new 10/22's!  I just ordered and installed Tech Sights on mine and Wow! what a difference it made in the sight picture and my ability to get on target.  Hey, it was a pleasure meeting you, (and your brother and his wife) at the Corona shoot and glad to hear you've got the bug too!javascript:void(0);
All the best,
David

This is the 2nd sat a newby showed up for more rifle shooting, last weekend Jim + I practiced together + this week Raul brought his ar for a sight in. After an afternoon of ball + dummy, He commented "I fired 5 rounds all day" !!!!! He got close to 4moa too. ;D
I also saw Adam who is a recruiter for LA sheriff. He is recruiting new deputys, they can sure use some appleseed grads! especially at the higher levels.
The appleseed program is getting out to range patrons. I had another comment, they are making plans to attend appleseed in Piru.
Once again thanx to EVERYONE who made the Corona event such a great weekend that folks who attended are going to ranges on thier own  ;D

Your are doing good work Johnnyappleseed.
One of these Saterday afternoons I'm going to the Angeles Range and shoot with you.
I remember Raul from line number two. He was pretty serious about improving his skills.
One of his equipment problems was his rear sight, it was one of those none adjustable,
emegency AR types.

Serf thank you for your kind words, lets get together at the public range . Call me anytime.
Our local American Legion post printed the range flier in thier last monthly newsletter ;D
Hopefully some of those combat vets will be inspired to bring thier trusty rifles + enjoy the sport of a free people ;)
Recently I went to www.gunownersofamerica site + looked up the voting record of those in congress+ senate, they are listed by state. Extremely disturbing the numbers who have zero respect for the BoR. One would surmise that amendment 6 could be an easy target for them too.
Colycat ^5 on showing those young folks on how to do an AQT , bet they were shocked!
Thanx to EVERYONE who is promoting the appleseed message + especially those who work so many hours to make it happen

I just wanted to Thank all those who came to California and braved the sunshine to help teach us how to shoot. I enjoyed the weekend and learned so much from everybody. I did not realize how little I knew about shooting before you all taught me, gee thanks! Birdman did a terrific job with the lessons. I am looking forward to the Piru Appleseed, I am registered and am bringing my granddaughter. She is excited about it too. I also enjoyed (and want my granddaughter to hear) the history of the founding of the country. Bob did a fabulous job on that, and Dragonwood had a great history lesson for us too, regarding women and their roles in the fight for our independence.
I talk up the program every chance I get. The guys at Turners have asked for info, I gave them what I had about the Piru Appleseed. I will see you there.  ;D

Its crazy that all my appleseed friends are 2400 miles away.  I have installed the tech sights, mag release , slings on my new 10-22's. Last night I bedded the barrel of one of them.  I was really impressed with the job I did.  Used boat epoxy and micro balloons.  Every one at work was really impressed! I missed the ILL shoot but am signed up for WI in May.  At the Appleseed in WI they are going to do some shooting at the 400yrd targets.  I just bought 500 rds of 308 for my M1A. Can,t wait.  Best to all of you who are going to Piru, CA 4/19

Keep up the good work at the range, Johnney Appleseed.

Added, 11,09  I did make it to the 4,19 shoot in Piru.  Got to meet Fred, And Funfaler

Q. How do you know when you are surrounded by friends?

A. When you're at an Appleseed!
Whatever event you go to be preparred to make lots of new friend. And when you bring along friends be preparred to share a real bonding experince. You just can't lose.

Minerva Ogive

I am posting onto the after action report somewhat late... but better late than never.

I just wanted to share with you that I have my own Ruger 10/22 now and I am all set for the Piru Appleseed.  I have been working with the west coast folks (Koolaid, Videobrat, Bob 210, Socalserf)... thank you so much!  I am shooting much better and, better yet, I am looking much cooler (with my new shooting jacket, glove, quick cuff sling and shooting glasses).

A belated thank you to Dragonwood for hanging tough with me.  Hope to see you soon.

Hey Minerva!
Welcome, welcome, welcome.
It is so good to see you on the Forum after shooting with you so many times.
I sometimes think that ladies are reluctant to be here because they think it a "boys only club".
Please help us get the word out that Appleseed is for everyone!
Again, its so good to have you here, thanks.
