I have decided to try a different format that writing up a detailed description of the event.  I am posting copious pictures and hoping that the many attendees will give AARs.  I am also hoping to get some input as to how to make it better.
I will give a brief description.
We had 18 shooters the first day and 6 on the second.  Some of the shooters were a group of young men who worked together at the same Christian ministry, a father and daughter, a father and son, an alumni of various shooting schools, the owner of Tech-Sights and his wife, and a Dutch special forces officer and his wife.  If I left anyone out, my bad.  Shoot boss was The Guy with DwayneH as the shoot boss in training and Spanner from West Virginia.  Larry Dodson the light rifle match director at Mid-Carolina Rifle Club and an accomplished shooter stepped up and accepted an orange hat to help out at SC Appleseed events.
We presented one with the Rifleman patch.

Wow I had a great time. Funny, I have been thinking about the shoot all week but now I  am having trouble expressing the gratitude I feel towards Dwayne, Spanner, and The Guy. I learned much more than just some lessons in how to shoot.  Mid-Carolina is a great range, Guy's history lessons were inspiring, The shooting instruction was excellent, patient, positive, and very effective. I hope to make it to the AS in Ramsuer next weekend. Can't wait! Thanks to everyone involved.

The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint to keep from meddling with them while they do it.

This is Larry & Karen from Tech-Sights and we just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the shoot in Gaston. We have always thought highly of the RWVA and the Appleseed project and experiencing the Appleseed shoot only added to our enthusiasm and respect for the program. We want to thank Dwayne, Larry, Spanner and The Guy for their professionalism in running the Marksmanship Clinic and the excellent training that they gave.
Congratulations to Karl for achieving Rifleman status!
The facilities at Mid-Carolina Rifle Club were great.
We'll be practicing our positions, NPOA, "not dragging wood", and faster mag changes so will be better prepared to attend the next event. We've also been sharing our experience with friends and family in WI and MI, and with folks here in SC, encouraging them to attend in their areas.
Dwayne, please let us know when the next shoot will be in SC - we're looking forward to it!

I am still shooting for Jan, Feb or March.  It's all going to be when my schedule and MCRC's schedule co-incides.  I'll go to the next meeting with my calendar and sit down with the prez.
