Like the new bride's wedding, we begin with something old and something new. The sky was clear and blue for this small group of four shooters. The first shooter brought an old borrowed rifle that had not been fired in a while and another came to the line with a brand new Tippmann and scope the shooter mounted. So when rifles were removed from their cases, our volunteers went over each rifle inspecting mounts, scopes and other rifle parts. They did a better job the Jiffy Lube. Once rifles were deemed safe and functional, we even bore sighted each which only took a few minutes and hopefully saved time and ammo because the first squares had rounds on paper. After reviewing the steady hold factors and the steps to firing a shot, we spent time with each shooter until they were both comfortable in the prone position and The course of fire saw some groups that were not bad. Rifles were sighted in and shooters were introduced to magazine changes, practiced shifting and acquiring NPOA.
Hits count target was introduced and we spent a few minutes talking about Daniel Morgan and his Riflemen. We wrapped up the day awarding Appleseed pins to each of the shooters. Three cheers to each of you for showing up for the sake of Liberty: HUZZAH! HUZZAH! HUZZAH!
